Suitcasewatch: Day 2

The suitcase has disappeared!!!

We search frantically. But there is only that poxy bathmat. Our project is ruined, as are our chances for 'Best Street Furniture/Inanimate Object' at the 2007 Weblog Awards.

As yet there are no clues as to who has taken it. We worry that the publicity we have generated may be connected, and that a reader may be involved. Even now somebody may be using it as a helpless prop to demonstrate the opportunity cost of means of production, etc.

Sigh. The wind is out of our sails.

Suitcasewatch: Day 1

The suitcase stands there in the road - a statement of our own isolation within the framework of a twenty-first century universe.

We attempt to photograph it, in order to get back to college for our art project. But some idiot keeps getting in the way. He is messing around a few yards further down the road, gawping at something in the gutter. Then he walks over and photographs our suitcase!

He leaves, in the direction of the local hostel.

Later we discover a wet carpet tile in the road where he was standing. Somebody has modified it to make it look like a bathmat. Clearly there is some sort of student prank going on.

We return to photograph our suitcase. The zeitgeist has progressed - is it still relevant to Blair's Britain?
